Welcome to the Episcopal Church of St. Mary-in-the-Highlands website.

The Episcopal Church of St Mary-in-the-Highlands has been literally at the heart of Cold Spring since 1840. The current Church was erected in 1868.

Sunday Masses are at 8:00 and 10:30 am. We offer child care and Sunday School during the 10:30 am service.

St Mary's is a vibrant parish community consisting of a cross section of young families, middle-aged empty nesters, professionals, retired seniors and others.

Listed on the National Historic Register, our beautiful stone Church nestled in the spectacular Hudson Highlands has been called The Cathedral of the Hudson Valley for its graceful grey granite spire rising 128 feet above the village of Cold Spring. Read more "About Us"

We have a marvelous hall that is available for rentals. It is equipped with a full commercial kitchen and you will find it perfect for meetings, weddings, and receptions of all kinds. Be sure to visit our "Parish House" page for more information.

Many pictures there to enjoy as well.

Crosses and Stars of David for our Garden of Remembrance on Memorial Day weekend (May 26/27) will be available a bit earlier this year – they will be offered this Sunday at both entrances to the Church and are free-of-charge. Should you be willing to help St. Mary’s with a monetary donation, we will be most grateful for your kindness! We also need volunteers to offer these ‘signs of remembrance’ to anyone who would like to be part of the Garden of Remembrance by having a Cross or Star of David placed on the Great Lawn in honor of a fallen relative or friend who has given his or her life for our Country. A Sign-up list, also giving more detailed information as to the exact location where these ‘markers’ in addition to the Church may be obtained, will be displayed at the back of the Church. Kindly consider your sharing in this yearly Memorial.

** We also are asking anyone who has any knowledge regarding the whereabouts of St. Mary’s Iron Cross, to please contact Father Shane at tel. 845-265-2539 or via e-mail at frshane@optonline.net. After having been saved from falling off the main roof of the Church, it was stored in a crevice next to the ramp-entrance to the Church, awaiting re-mounting. Thank you very much for your kind attention to our unfortunate mishap.
